Florin Banateanu is a competent and organized Manager / Administrator with considerable progressive experience in a private company (5 years) NGO Administration (5 years) and in international organizations (United Nations Development Programme - UNDP), augmented by a formal education and refined by specialized trainings in project management, economics and small and medium size enterprises development. Accurate, personable, and stable, proven record of performance and excellent communication skills, demonstrated through personal initiative, efficiency and loyalty.

From the year 2002 until present he works as Head of Socio-Economic Section UNDP Romania. Areas of responsibility: Managing, coordinate and supervise all UNDP projects in economic, social, and local development fields; Initiating and formulating project proposals and strategies with regard to socio – economic development issues; Drafting and oversee the projects proposals, cost estimates, tenders documentation and of all the contracts done under all programmes in the section portfolio; Creating sustainable partnerships with central / local authorities, private sector, international donor organizations, and civil society; Managing the Global Compact (UN concept on Corporate Social Responsibility) in Romania; Focal point for private sector projects in UNDP (Public Private Partnerships for big infrastructure rehabilitation projects, involve the private sector in SMEs development projects – business incubators).
