For 3 years Dragos Bucurenci is being director of the Association “Save the Danube and the Danube
Delta”, the unique organization of environment from Romania, which develops protection actions
for the entire biosphere Reservation “The Danube Delta”. In 2007, the Association convinced
various companies from Romania to invest more that 700.000 euro in environment protection
projects for the Danube Delta and he obtained the Big Award and The award for Environment
Protection at Civil Society Gala. Besides his involment in various actions and civic campaigns ( “Do not destroy The Romanian countryman museum!”, “Save our walls!“), Dragos works as a freelance journalist. He started his career at the age of 17 in “ Dilema Veche” and collaborated with numerous cultural magazines and glossies. For an year he was the chief of environment area at “ Academia Catavencu” and since 2006 he signs every Monday an editorial in “Evenimentul zilei”. He presented and realized various tv shows : “Linia verde” (TVR1), “Cultura libre” (TVR1), “Puncte pe arta lumii” (TVR1), “Dependente” (TVR Cultural). In 2006, he sustained Mircea Eliade during a documentary realized for “Mari Romani” (TVR1). Since October he presents a new show at Realitatea tv “Romania verde”, every Friday at 20:30. Dragos is 26 years old, lives in Bucharest and he is a student within “History and Art Theory” University. |
