Celia Moore is Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs Executive for IBM Europe, Middle East, and Africa. She joined IBM in 1995 to implement a new global strategy for Community Involvement, and currently manages programmes across nearly 30 countries which focus on how Information Technology can contribute to solving social and economic challenges. The programmes span education; bridging the digital divide; economic development; access to cultural resources; and research on humanitarian issues including health and climate. 80,000 IBM volunteers from IBM's global workforce contribute their personal time to support these issues and other concerns in their local communities. Celia also coordinates IBM's Corporate Citizenship across the region and is a member of the Board of Directors of CSR Europe and the European Academy of Business in Society. http://www.ibm.com/ibm/responsibility

Before joining IBM Celia had extensive experience of engaging the corporate sector in social issues, and creating public private partnerships, from various roles in the voluntary sector. She was Deputy Chief Executive and Operations Director at Action Resource Centre, a UK agency specialising in business involvement in the community. Prior to that at Apex Trust she worked with companies to employ white-collar ex-offenders, through a job placement service and careers advice sessions in prisons. From there she went on to specialise in developing preventive services for young people at a social services policy unit and the Intermediate Treatment Fund.
