Secretary General of th Youth Forum, the international youth organization gathering more then 90 members, both national youth councils and international youth organizations.

Having been involved in youth organizations, both as a volunteer an professionally, for the last 15 years of his life, he has been National Director of Intercultura - AFS Portugal, the world leader of intercultural learning and students' exchanges. At national level, he has also leaded the Portuguese National Youth Council, being elected President in 1995, participating, during this period, in the creation process of the present European Youth Forum. His engagement with the Portuguese National Youth Council continued as he was invited to work again within the Portugues National Youth Council as Board Advisor, wich allowed him to develop his managerial skills. He also been Project Officer for the Portuguese Presidency of European Union as the liaison person between the European Youth Forum and the Portuguese National Youth Council. He holds a Bachelor degree in Sociology.

All his vast experience in the youth field has allowed him to be one of the main experts in youth policy at national, European an global level.
